What is coaching.

Coaching is an amazing process that involves partnership between the coach and the client to achieve any life or career related goals a client might have. Think about something you always wanted to have in your life but never got to do it because of a fear that held you back. You might have a limiting belief that you don't have what it takes, something or someone might have told you in the past that it isn't a good idea or you don't have enough money or you will not succeed. People will tell you things like that usually because of their own problems or their own agenda. Now, imagine someone who will truly be there for you and not only give you all the support and blessings to pursue your dream, but will actually help you develop an action plan on how to achieve this dream! That's the job of a life coach. A life coach doesn't have an agenda, a life coach believes that you really do have everything you need to live your passion. Those dreams and desires you have are there for a reason and if there is a part of you that feels like you can do it and wants to do it, then your goals are actually achievable.

What is a life coach?

A life coach is a coach who works with individuals, couples or a group of individuals on any area of their life they chose to work on. A life coach is someone who is hired by an individual as opposed to a company or an organization.

What areas of my life can a coach help me with?

Anything you can think of where you might need help with. There are coaches who specialize in one area that they call their niche. For example, my niche is singles coaching. However, as I've been trained to be a life coach, I can coach you on anything you want to be coached on. That would include but not be limited to: career, relationships, life balance, health, personal development, spirituality, having more fun and joy in your life, life choices, etc.

How many different types of coaches are out there?

There are many types of coaches, corporate coaches work in corporate environments and are usually hired to resolve some issues within a company. Life coaches, ADD coaches who work with people diagnosed with attention deficit disorder. And many others.

Is this similar to being a sport coach?

Not at all. The difference comes with the approach they use. A sport coach is more like a trainer who will push you to be competitive and develop a program for you to work on. A life coach is more like a catalyst who believes that you as a client know exactly what you want and how to get there. A life coach does not give you an advice or tell you what to do and how to do it, instead their job is to create an environment where it is possible for you to thrive.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

There is a definite difference here. A therapist will work with you to heal your issues you might have from the past and help you get from a dysfunctional to functional state. A coach is more action oriented to help you achieve your goals. A therapist is mostly focused on your past and present, while coaching deals with present and future. Coaching is a form of partnership that you develop in your work and the energy is focused on you.

Can I have both a therapist and a coach?

Absolutely! I know a lot of people who do and they work very well together. You can even have a therapy and a coaching session on the same issue. You will be able to learn about your issue and heal it in therapy, then figure out a way what to do next about it in coaching.

Why hire a coach?

Because it's really worth it. This is an investment you make for yourself. I don't know anybody who decided to hire a coach and then later on regretted they did that. When you hire a coach, your entire life starts to take a major turn. Things you could never imagine would happen to you start happening. You start doing things you never thought you could do. What makes it so powerful? The fact that your coach will get you to the point where you start believing in yourself.

How does the coaching process work?

Typically we work over the phone. This has proven to be the most effective method for many reasons. First of all, this solve a geographical problem, you don't have to be in the same state or even the same country as I am. Second, talking over the phone will prevent some energy barriers you get when faced with each other. Typically, we would have weekly sessions for 45 minutes. You also have an option of having a session every 2 weeks.

Where did you get your training?

I am getting my training and certification from the iPEC coaching school. I chose them because I agree with their philosophy and I like the approach the school takes on core energy coaching. I believe that iPEC offers one of the best coaching programs in the nation, that goes above an beyond of what's required to become a certified coach.

How much does it cost?

Typically a coaching session will cost you about $100-150. If you chose to go by a monthly basis, there are discounts available. Right now I give out additional discounts to people because I am still in the process of getting certified. With all the discounts, considering what you're gonna get out of it, what I offer right now is a steal! Plus, my first 20 minute session is free. So call me to find out more about my deals and options.
